The term “lay ministry” has many varied doctrines governing what constitutes a lay ministry or lay minister, and describing them is not the purpose of this writing. In this writing lay ministry refers to the ministry of the body of Christ. The ministry gifts, given by Jesus to His body, as servant gifts given to the church to fulfill the commission with the head, Jesus Christ.
